A234 WPB and A420 WPL6
ASTM A234 WPB is the carbon steel grade for wrought butt weld fittings in moderate and elevated temperature service, with a minimum tensile strength of 415 MPa and minimum yield of 240 MPa. It is normally paired with ASTM A106 Grade B or A53 Grade B pipe.
Where the line runs cold, low temperature carbon steel (LTCS) is specified: ASTM A420 WPL6 for butt weld fittings and A350 LF2 for forged fittings and flanges.
Carbon steel across the range
Carbon steel butt weld elbows, tees, reducers, caps, stub ends and crosses from 1/2" to 64" NB in SCH 5S to XXS; forged socket weld and threaded fittings from 1/2" to 4" NB; and A105 flanges forged to 48" NB and plate to 100" NB. Carbon steel fittings are supplied for IBR service under Paras' IBR approval.
